The Trango Towers in Karakoram have a special place in climbing history. In 1989, climbing legends Wolfgang Gülich and Kurt Albert set the route "Eternal Flame“ of the Nameless Tower, which today is considered a benchmark for climbing level (29 ropes, 685 m, category 7c+ or even 8a).
This mythical route was only freely traversed (without going off the wall) in 2009 by the Huber brothers, and in 2022 by the Catalan Edu Marin, (climbing level 9a), makes his first free (without coming off the wall) pass, the whole endeavor taking him, his brother Alex and his father Novato (70 years old!) 28 whole days, 10 of them a storm, stranded in the tent and an avalanche that swept away their camp.. "I will be forever grateful to my father and my brother. Without them, this dream of mine would have remained impossible."

„This is a route loaded with history, a work of art created by climbing legends Gülich and Albert. And for himself, the opportunity to follow in Gülich's footsteps, an inspiration from his childhood years.
The Producer Guillaume Broust creates a truly thrilling film, which, along with climbing, also has the wonderful family story of a father and his two sons, who together accepted the risk and challenges of climbing this giant standing piece of rock, with a peak of 6251 m above sea level.
The endless and majestic landscape of Karakoram, devoid of any human presence, the chilling views, the verticality, the avalanches, and the impossible to predict meteorology unfold before the eye thanks to the footage shot by the bony Catalans, Girard, Brust, but also colleagues. Especially valuable is the live presence of the brothers Thomas and Alex Huber and the archive footage from 1989.
As for the musical score, it's an equally significant argument to see this magnificent film, which stands worthy alongside the best and most honest films made about big-wall climbing ever.
