With the summer of 2022. Viktor Varoshkin and Emilian Kolevsky will make history by blazing a new route at 4000 m altitude, below Mont Blanc peak, on the 50 m high granite monolith. The new route is called “Electric Avenue”.

There are rankings of the most beautiful peaks, the most beautiful single rock blocks and cliffs. The Gendarme, along the classic Arrete des Cosmiques edge leading to Mt. Aiguille du Midi, in the Mont Blanc massif is certainly one of the most photogenic cliffs in the Alps. Its sunlit granite walls have captured the imagination of generations of climbers. Thierry Renaud was the first to set his line here - the “Digital Crack” has long been described as the most difficult high route in the Alps 8a+.

After the odyssey around the Dragon's Tail expedition in Patagonia, Victor Varoshkin graduated as an international mountain guide and spent his entire summers in Chamonix. Emilian Kolevski is also not bored after his participation as a double climber in “Point break 2” and opening new landmark routes in the mountains of Bulgaria. The idea of a Bulgarian line on this iconic rock meets them at the foot of Zhandarma in August 2022, when the climbs in the area of Mt. Mont Blanc were banned due to dangerous access, melting glaciers and high temperatures. A route with category 7b was born.

We present you a short video, graded by Viktor Varoshkin IFMGA Mountain Guide as a short impression of the upcoming premiere of the film, tracing the creation and crossing of the premiere Bulgarian route “Electric Avenue” on the legendary “Gendarme des Cosmiques” in the Mont Blanc massif.
