Vyacheslav Stoyanov and Yana Melamed are currently somewhere between the 31st and 32nd parallel in the wilderness of Baja California, Mexico, having covered an impressive 26,000 km since the expedition began. Last year's Challenge Days found them on the East Coast on a total of 10,000km of riding on the mapped route that started in Alaska in 2015.

In the last year, they have been able to tour the entire East Coast of America from New York City to Key West, Florida. They pedaled through the southern states all the way to Texas, and then passed through the Mexican deserts and the Sierra Madre Occidental ( the Mexican part of the Rocky Mountains).

"Crossing the Sierras made us realize that the world isn't so big after all, it's just that we humans are damn tiny. At the top of that mountain, you could see nothing but sierra in every direction you could see. We were standing on the backbone of the world," the two heroes reveal their emotions.

In the Cycle Americas expedition, Slav and Jana are both travellers and explorers. Thousands of miles through spectacular landscapes, they trace the attitudes of different social groups towards the production and consumption of fuels and the awareness of man's role in protecting the environment.
