On 13.10.2015 was held this year's competition ‘Petites vs Starlets’ 2015 - the 4th surfing competition of BAEBS, for the first time on the North Beach of Lozenets.
For nearly a month, surfers have been stalking the weather forecast to hit a clean beach break forecast, predisposing for more dynamic surfing with the possibility of “extreme radical tricks.” In due course, on the morning of October 13, the weather predisposed the contest to take place and the organizers at BAEBC quickly rounded up the willing entrants and judges.
After the competition, one of the jury members commented on Facebook:
"On behalf of the humble jury, we would like to congratulate all Deputyfall into this wavy adventure, with this dive into the sea element! Organizing and riding the amazing waves on Lozenets beach was another challenge. Some people struggled but showed courage and endurance in the rough waters of the bay with an incredibly strong current....the idea of the organizers was to accept the challenge, to change the conditions from the tidy and normal size waves of Ahtopol to a slightly more serious format - the waves of Lozenets, where the style, preparation and confidence of the riders shows best.....and this is what the judges observed. The styles were really unique, an amazing tuba by Tony G , 360 by Koki and all the other waves that Chris Jellezny caught, Vasil and Max with Longboard - showed the level of Bulgarian surfing in a very good light....definitely Koki's style stood out and he confidently gained points and sympathy from the judges with his freestyling tricks, a style definitely capable of representing Bulgarian surfing at world or European level soon.We very much hope that such events will temper culture and tolerance in all their aspects and give young and old alike the opportunity to experience the idea that nothing is impossible if you make the effort and persevere....like our finalists at this year's national surfing competition Ahtopol - Lozenets 2015. I wish everyone to just ride and have fun in and out of the water."
