A film about lines connecting the tops of mountains to the bottom of characters in people seeking the way to the other through the path to the top. Because months later, across the Atlantic, another imposing granite giant awaits them. And it will await them not as individuals, but as a team.

Grigor Vutev, Viktor Varoshkin, Martin Marovsky and Ruslan Vakrilov set off for the Courmayeur area to climb the south face of Mont Blanc and experience the difficulties of climbing on granite rock.

In addition to the planned climbs, another main goal of the team of four climbers is to work and train for the upcoming expedition "Tail of the Dragon - Patagonia 2015“.

"During our stay in the Alps we managed to do two climbs on the south side of the Petites Jorasses (links: Martin Marovsky and Viktor Varoshkin; Grigor Vatev and Ruslan Vakrylov) , climbing the Trident du Tacul needle (Grigor Vatev and Ruslan Vakrylov), and two ascents of Mont Blanc via two of the most difficult routes on the south side - Peuterey Integrale (Martin Marovsky and Viktor Varoshkin) and Pilier Rouge du Brouillard (Martin Marovsky, Viktor Varoshkin and Ruslan Vakrylov). All four were first Bulgarian ascents.
The Peuterey Integrale and the Pilier Rouge du Brouillard were the most serious achievements. The Peuterey Integrale is the longest route in the Alps with a positive gradient of over 4000m. To negotiate it, a series of rock needles and mixed climbing are traversed, with 2 or 3 bivouacs along the way.
The route via the Pilier Rouge du Brouillard consists of crossing the Brouillard glacier, climbing the Pilier Rouge needle on the Directissima route (7a+, 400m) and negotiating a series of mixt towers with a total vertical drop of 700m on the way to Mont Blanc. Normally the route is traversed with 1 or 2 bivouacs (at the Montzino hut and the Eccles shelter), but given the poor condition of the glacier and the difficult access to the shelter we decided to go “single push” style - 3300m of vertical in 26 hours, without bivouac, from Val Veny to Mont Blanc.
Due to the too warm weather this year and the big stonefalls we couldn't attempt another main goal - the Devine Providence route, but everything else was according to plan and we consider our stay in the Alps a complete success.

`whitWe have been working as a team and are looking forward to going to Patagonia!“

They leave the day before the festival to Patagonia, but at the Days we will present parts of the film “Granite Alps”.
