“When you take away the emotions and just leave the facts, they are very clear and simple.” 4 days 13 hrs and 5 min. In that time, with the help of his team, Kiril Nikolov-Disela managed to cover the distance of 600 km with nearly 17,000 m of positive vertical drop along the ridge of Stara Planina from Mt. Com to Cape Emine.

Kiril Nikolov - Disela, who set the new speed record on the Com-Emine route, tells us what his challenges to the world and his personality are.
Having not given up his goal, Kiril Nikolov proved that a strong spirit achieves everything. After his first unsuccessful attempt in 2014, the athlete did more than brilliantly in August this year.
He improved Bozhidar Antonov's achievement from 11 August 2015 by 23 hours, as well as Lyubomir Palakarchev's previous record by nearly a day.

"The time has come for my generation to rise to the challenge. I want to see how far my limit extends, how strong my will is and if I can overcome my sense of self-preservation."

At the 2015 Days, he will also present the film of last year's record attempt on the Com-Emine route, “Reach Your Limits”, in the summer of 2014. This is a film not just about running, but rather about the power of human will and finding inspiration for personal small and big victories.

Besides the steep mountain trails, the pouring rain and the sticky mud, Diesel has to break through the barriers of his own mind, overcome deep fears, accept pain and exhaustion. Until she faces the ultimate dilemma - to give up or go beyond the limit of her own abilities.

Com-Emine route (from Cyril's personal post)

"Com-Emine is the longest hiking route in Bulgaria. It crosses the country along the ridge of the Balkan Mountains - from the peak of Kom, all the way to the coast.
Com - Emine is a real route - a legend. There are rumors of many records - 5 days, 7 days, 20 days. It's as if with time everyone measures his strength and how much he has overcome his instinct for self-preservation. The fact is that the distance of 600 km and 14,600 m of vertical drop usually takes about 20-25 days. In August 2014, Kirill Nikolov-Dizella attempted to set a new record: the Com-Emine in less than 5 days.
The most important thing here, however, is not the time Diesel wants to achieve. The most important thing is the journey that will help him to know himself, to discover his true strength and what really drives him forward. Because stepping out of your comfort zone, into the mountains, into the wild, you can experience life in a whole new way."
