In the summer of 2025, Stefan Ivanov crossed the Indian Ocean in a rowing boat, following his previous successful rowing expeditions across the Atlantic, Southern, and Arctic Oceans. This time, his teammates were Ralph Tewin from the Netherlands, Liu Yong from China, and Evgeny Sudir from Ukraine. They became the first team of rowers to cross the Indian Ocean from mainland Australia to mainland Africa.

The expedition was conducted under the banner of the legendary Explorers Club, which has organized the first successful expeditions to the North Pole, South Pole, Everest, the Moon, and other destinations.

Once again, Stefan dedicated his expedition to the Ministry of Health's "Yes! For Life!" campaign (www.zajivot.bg), which aims to encourage more Bulgarians to decide to become potential organ donors after their death so that human lives can be saved through transplants. The rowers once again collected plankton samples for research by the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University on the effects of climate change on plankton and food chains.
