Accompanied by glaciologist Inez Dussillon and mountain guide Liz Beaton, writer Cedric Gras and adventurer Matthew Thordur set off on hinges along one of skiing's most famous routes, the High Road. Passing through the icy heart of the Alps, this historic road linking Chamonix with Zermatt (107km) will also be traversed with scientific interest to establish the retreat of the glaciers and the changes this heralds.
