"Climbing in the capital of mountaineering is a challenge for any mountaineer. Chamonix is the world's most mythical place to climb - it is steeped in mysticism and legend."
Tihomir Dimitrov, Milen Bratanov and Kosyo Lokmadzhiev head to Chamonix, and in particular to Petit Dreux - the peak known as the shot in the sky - to relive their adventure in the Alps.
They say: "Climbing in the capital of mountaineering is always a challenge for any mountaineer. Yes, Chamonix is the most mythical climbing place in the world - it is steeped in mysticism and legend. That's why we headed there, and in particular to Petit Drew - the peak referred to as ‘a shot in the sky’. You can only tell this when you stand below it, look up and see a needle 1000 metres above you. The climbing was easy, but the overall ascent was an epic - rockfalls, broken ropes, bivouacs with no bags, water or food."
At the Days they will tell more about what they were prepared for and what surprised them on the way up.
