After another exciting journey through the distant lands, the visionary traveler Petar Vanev is back home and will stand on the stage of the Challenge Days to tell you about his last stunning experience on the Appalachian Trail.

In 2017, the Ruthenian crossed the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in the USA and became the first Bulgarian to successfully cross the mountain pass from Mexico to Canada with a total length of 4240 km. After walking 6,000,000 steps, Moonshine's footsteps - the nickname he received during the THP - made him thirsty again for new mile-long adventures, and a few months later he took the long way to the wilderness of the Appalachian Trail. The chosen horizon was no accident - the Appalachian Trail, along with the Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide, formed the dream Triple Crown of U.S. long-distance hiking that the young hiker aspired to.

In three and a half months, Moonshine has logged another 3,500 miles on the Appalachian Trail, trekking from the Springer Mountains in Georgia all the way to the Catadine Mountains in Maine amid dense forests, steep slopes, turbulent streams and rivers, wild and vast scenery with scenic vistas. The adventures continue until his birthday, when he reaches the end point of the trek and is already 2/3 crowned, and returns to Bulgaria with a backpack full of stories.
