Read the interview below:

You became popular as a chef on Masterchef, and you are a puppet actor by profession. Now we see you in a new role - host of a festival about extreme sports, hiking, adventure. How would you describe yourself to the festival audience?

As someone who loves adventure. Loving challenges. I love to do things with passion, drive and lots of love. And the most important thing for me is to have fun.

Have you been to Challenge Days before and what are your impressions?

Of course I've been. My impressions are only positive, there is no second festival that brings together people who love and practice outdoor sports.
But still, I've only been an audience, now it's going to be completely different and exciting and honestly - I can't wait for it to start.

What do you think distinguishes Days from other festivals, what is characteristic and irresistible for the audience?

Actually the word festival is not the right one for me, it is a “meeting” of people with very similar interests, missions and ideas. People who can inspire you and show you that the impossible doesn't exist, on top of that at the Days you can often talk to these people, check your watch with them, besides watching them on the screen. Discussions, conversations, films. The whole atmosphere, everything is very cohesive and somehow differently nice.

How did you get into the sport and what does it give you?

Ever since I was a little kid I loved to move, I'm one of those hyperactive people who always has to be doing something, so sports gave me just that- to move all the time. By playing sports I rest, keep fit, take care of my health, travel, meditate. And after a good workout, no matter what sport you do, you should reward yourself with something delicious.

What do you like to eat during sports? Do you stick to any specific diet, especially when you play sports?

I have no mode. I like to eat healthy and regularly. I eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and I make sure it tastes good. I exercise slightly hungry, but not on an empty stomach.

Do you have any travel or sporting achievements planned for this year?

I was already in the Dolomites in Italy, although there was no snow, as it poured right then here was unique, also very beautiful, plus what a pizza they make. And for the summer I want to focus more on some water sports, I would go back to Portugal or somewhere suitable for Hawaiian surfing. I really enjoyed it and I want to go again. Otherwise, the more I travel, the better.

Do you have favourite athletes or sportspeople that have inspired you and that you follow?

It's like food, movies and music. I have no favourites. I like to try new things, to experiment. Of course every sport and every dish has its master. And respect for all those who do sports... and cooking.

If you can describe your favorite sport as a dish, what is it and why?

I like to eat everything and try to cook everything. I'm the same way with sports, when I like something I try it, it's either delicious or it's not my thing, which doesn't mean it's not someone else's specialty. But it's all like cooking with seasonal ingredients For every weather there is a dish and a sport.

The important thing is to “eat” in moderation and be sweet.

We look forward to seeing you between 29 and 31 March for three sweet “Challenge Days”!
