Did you know that Northwest Bulgaria hides some of the most stunning natural and cultural treasures in the country? And how many of them have you experienced personally? At a special event on 5 December, the “USA for Bulgaria” and their partners will reveal to the festival visitors the magic of this beautiful and wild region. You will have the opportunity to learn about unique routes, hidden treasures and adventures that await you in the heart of the Balkans.

Since 2020, the America for Bulgaria Foundation has actively supported initiatives for the development of tourism in the Northwest - a region that offers countless opportunities for adventure, cultural and family-oriented tourism.

The Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park team is working hard to unite the efforts of local organizations and businesses, turning the Iskar Gorge into a desirable destination for walks, farm visits and learning about natural and cultural attractions.

Mountain biking enthusiasts will find their paradise in the Vratsa Balkan - the Vratsa Trails cycling club offers more than 20 trails for beginners and advanced riders, and next spring it will open a special pomp track for children and beginners.

Don't miss the Northwest Bike Tour, which takes place every last Saturday in May. This exciting event offers cyclists the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque views of the Chiprovtsi Balkan and to reach the Belogradchik Rocks. The finale is at the square in Mitrovtsi village, where brass band music and prizes with local products await the best participants.

History comes alive in the renovated “Vratsa Treasures” hall of the Regional History Museum in Vratsa, where visitors can not only see but also feel the rich goldsmith heritage of the region.

These and many other activities are combined in the Open Vratsa platform, which is your key to the best experiences in the region.

And if you are curious about the Kom-Emine route - did you know that its start, near Serbia, is already cleared and marked? Torlakia Association and volunteers have been preparing the road for new adventurers all summer.

For the connoisseurs of beautiful moments and boutique wineries, we are also looking forward to the appearance of “The Merry Winemakers” from Lyutibrod.

Come to learn more and plan your adventure. We look forward to seeing you on December 5 at 4:00 pm in Lumiere Hall!
