Meet two attractive brave ladies: Aline, 2010 World Freeride Champion and Lena, professional skier! Passionately devoted to the spirit of adventure and the pursuit of new horizons, the two friends head to Hokkaido, Japan together with filmmaker Matthias Kögel and local guide and photographer Aaron Jamieson. Equipped with skis and boards for all types of snow and waves, they set out in search of Japan's famous powder snow and perfect waves, but most of all they seek to discover the reality of life in post-Fukushima Japan. “We wanted to gain a personal insight into the situation and reality of nuclear contamination after the tragedy and more importantly, to find out what the local population thought about the tragedy,” says Aline.
Their adventure takes them several thousand miles beyond Hokkaido, on surfing, skiing and camping experiences through the mountains to the ocean, in some of the least visited and as yet undiscovered corners of the island.
