In the past year Boyan Petrov managed to climb two more eight-thousanders as part of his project “Bulgarian on 14x8000”. The presentation will include footage from:
Gasherbrum II (8035m)- thirteenth highest peak in the world. It is located in Karakoram, Pakistan on the border with China. In the summer of 2009, Bojan attempted this peak, but returned only fifty meters from its highest point. The climb in the summer of 2017 was successful and Boyan became the third Bulgarian to reach the summit.
At the end of August, Bojan headed to his next peak. Daulagiri (8167m)- seventh in the ranking of Himalayan giants. In the company of the veteran Spaniard, Carlos Soria (78), the team made an unsuccessful attempt in mid-September. The attack attempts continued and the summit was reached on 29.09.2017.
