A sharp light splits the fabric of night. Darkness regroups into creeping shadows that dance before strange creatures. Some cubic life form slithers in silence, searching purposefully for one particular chunk of rock.

Immersed in darkness, devoid of colour and perspective, we dance on the edge of the shadows to find our way through the complex system of rock relief. We solve a puzzle, unsolvable during the day. We create movements as if defying physics. We create metaphysics.

The psychedelic experience of night climbing is hard to put into words. The film Night Shift is an attempt at a combination of sound, picture and voice that immerses the viewer in the dark trance of bouldering that happens during the wee hours of the night.

Ruslan Vakrilov is behind the camera, the music is by Julian Stoichkov and the text is written by Viktor Varoshkin. The voice behind the frame is Konstantin Takvor - Kokera, and in the center of the lens are Philip Donchev, Matej Dimitrov, Lachezar Rizov and Dimitar Rusev.
