Get an acorn, plant an acorn. Green campaign of Sofia Film Fest, WWF Bulgaria and TRANSPARENT PLANES, for reforestation with Summer and Cer oak.
During the last festival edition of Sofia Film Fest, together with WWF Bulgaria and TRANSPARENT PLANES, the green campaign “DON'T FORGET US!” was born, through which hundreds of oak acorns were distributed for cultivation and reforestation.
During the Challenge Days we will continue with the green initiative by challenging everyone to take acorns from the most beautiful RED OAK and, of course, to succeed in planting it. On the days set aside for challenges, you will find the beautiful acorns in the place where there is a “DON'T DISTURB US!” sign.
The campaign is inspired by Wim Wenders' latest documentary “Salt of the Earth”which tells about the life of the famous photographer Sebastião Salgado.
More about the film
“Salt of the Earth” tells the story of Sebastião Salgado, one of the most talented photographers of all time. The work reveals the life of the legendary artist, travelling across continents, following the rhythm of a changing humanity. Through and through his lens, he witnessed some of the most important events in the history of the world, capturing international conflicts, famines, fearful crises and mass displacement. Salgado embarked on the discovery of virgin territories, of wild flora and fauna, succeeding in capturing spectacular landscapes with his camera as part of a unique photographic project - a worship of the beauty of the planet, seriously advocating the theme of preserving forests from deforestation and the social responsibility of reforestation.
